Membership FAQs

Are you going to the right place? Because the Login button on the upper right is not about membership. Dumb, we know and we can also assure you that we’re way more annoyed about it than you are.

I never got an email

“The website says that it sent me an email, but I never got it.”

Check your spam folder, your promotions folder, your junk folder, your trash, and/or your forums. How to do that will vary with your email provider, so do some checking there. You can also search your mail for anything sent by marge@craftsbury.com, which is where the email is coming from. You’re looking for something that looks like this (identifying data removed):

Passes

Where do I get my pass?

We don’t currently offer physical passes for annual memberships or day-passes. Your pass is either your email receipt or a card in your Apple or Google Wallet.

Reciprocal skiing

How do take advantage of the VSAA reciprocal ski program?

The Ski Vermont Cross Country Reciprocal Program shares the breadth of cross country skiing across Vermont. Using your paid annual membership from Craftsbury, you can ski one day each at other participating XC ski areas.

However, there are two caveats:

  • Complimentary resident annual memberships are not eligible for reciprocity.

  • You will need to show proof of membership at any participating area you visit as a Craftsbury member to redeem a reciprocal pass. Do that one of two ways

    • Via a Craftsbury annual membership pass that you can download to your Apple or Google Wallet. Download this from your profile in the new membership platform.

    • Via your emailed receipt showing your membership as current. Look for an email from marge@craftsbury.com - being sure to check trash, forums and/or spam. Stuck? Hit us at membersupport@craftsbury.com

Resident memberships

What towns' citizens are eligible for a complimentary membership?

Our trails couldn’t exist without the generosity and support of over 100 trail landowners and the surrounding community. As a small token of appreciation, Craftsbury, Albany and Greensboro residents are eligible for complimentary memberships.

How do I claim my complimentary resident membership?

Select Resident membership thru the purchase portal at craftsbury.com/membership. Scroll down to find it.

If it's a complimentary membership, why do I need to complete anything?

We ask that you complete the resident membership form so we can get waiver acceptance and keep in touch with you about member opportunities or events at the Center - events you may want to be a part of, or avoid if it’s a busy race weekend.

Landowners

I'm a trail landowner, how do I get a membership?

Trail landowners receive annual memberships as one part of the package of benefits we offer by way of thanking you for your generosity. Generally, our staff does an annual mailing that details this. Drop us a line if you have questions about this package as well as any other questions.

Membership and programming

If I’m an annual member, why are there additional costs for some programs or opportunities?

Annual membership gets its holder a lot of benefits, and it’s a pre-requisite for almost every program we offer. However, in the interest of keeping the membership affordable, some programs have additional costs associated with them: Open Gym, Fitness classes, Ski Programming, Community Rowing to name several. There are plenty of people who only want to access trails for instance; they shouldn’t have to pay for gym time that they’re not going to use. Further, many of these options have size/scale limits on them that the trailsystem doesn’t. So we price them separately to not overwhelm those resources.

Family membership

Family is most readily understood as household membership. Who’s living at that address?
