Training week of 9/30

EVERYONE:

  1. Winter program information and registration: info and schedule are finalized here. Remember it’s a good idea to make sure you know how to log into your account and ensure your membership is current before registration opens at 8pm on Oct. 1!

  2. Questions about programs: we’re doing our best to keep up with inquiries about what group to join, how to integrate with school skiing, etc. We might not have time to get back to every single one of them by Tuesday evening. If we don’t answer your questions, go with your best guess and we’ll loop back around to it.

  3. Attendance form yes, always and forever

JUNIORS:

  1. We’ve got 2 harder weeks coming up. With school being a thing that you do, that means a lot of training has to happen on the weekends. That’s cool. Do it! Those who are doing fall sports should prioritize those and not stress about training hours.

  2. Looking ahead to winter: Here are all the details that exist so far re: the Eastern Cup schedule & Craftsbury’s team travel plans. It’s never too early to start thinking about what licensing you’re going to need for said racing.

U14s:

  1. Great job on the Mansfield OD today! Y’all crushed it, caves/cliffs and all.

BKL:

  1. Scavenger hunt this week! Trying again after getting rained out last week.

BIATHLETES:

  1. Start/end times: note that we’re trying to get biathletes to finish ski practices quite promptly or early to get to biathlon by the time posted on the plan. YOU can help with this by being efficient and transitioning quickly.

  2. Read this for info about racing this winter: Biathlon race opportunities 2024-25

  3. Also if anyone wants to jump in a biathlon time trial with some Canadians here at Craftsbury next Saturday or Sunday (Oct 5-6) let Susan know.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  1. Stay tuned re: Sunday. We’re working on it!
