Training week of 8/26

EVERYONE:

  1. Attendance form mhm yup still. Especially with people scattered for fall sports!

  2. Summer schedule over: we now go to the fall schedule, which you can find here.

JUNIORS:

  1. Invoices from trips: have been sent out. They come from “Concrete Foundation”—yes, that’s legit.

  2. Communication as we shift into fall sports: we know we won’t see most of you as much and that’s fine. Just reach out if we can help you figure out navigating fall sports + possibly continuing to do some ski training. Be smart!

  3. Looking ahead to winter: Here are all the details that exist so far re: the Eastern Cup schedule & Craftsbury’s team travel plans.

U14s:

  1. Communication as we shift into fall sports: we know we won’t see most of you as much and that’s fine. Just reach out if we can help you figure out navigating fall sports + possibly continuing to do some ski training.

BKL:

  1. Fall sports: we hope that many of you are playing fall sports with school! That’s a good thing. Just drop us a line at some point to tell us what you’re up to.

BIATHLETES:

  1. Note the schedule shift for fall, and also that we padded the schedule a teeny bit to allow for shuffle time between ski practice + biathlon.

  2. Events coming up this winter:

    • Liatoppen: If anyone is interested in applying to be part of the US contingent to the Liatoppen youth biathlon festival in Norway, you can find information here. Application deadline is the end of August.

    • World Jr Trials: for U17 or older, if you want to race in World Jr Trials (selection races for representing Team USA on international trips) those are in Soldier Hollow the week after Christmas. We will send a Craftsbury coach and we do have a couple families planning to go. Age categories for those races are youth and junior only. Reach out with questions

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  1. Business as usual this week, though in the AC gym this week.

Grass skiing in all its glory/absurdity!
