Training week of 8/19
EVERYONE:

Rumor has it that the youths mostly open the blog for the pictures, and that they may read more of the actually useful stuff if there are pictures at the bottom, so… pictures go at the bottom now.
Last week of summer schedule: this is our last week before the masses go back to school! So that means it’s our last week of the summer schedule. Next week, starting Monday 8/26, we go to the fall schedule, which you can find here.
JUNIORS:
Lake Placid training camp: wow wow, we had a blast. Here is a link to some additional photos. You may need to download OneDrive (Microsoft version of Google Drive)—you should be able to find a free version, we think. We will be sending out trip invoices this week, as well as finally doing the ones from the Hosmer overnight. They will come from “Concrete Foundation” or similar—yes, that’s legit.
Communication as we shift into fall sports: we know we won’t see most of you as much and that’s fine. Just reach out if we can help you figure out navigating fall sports + possibly continuing to do some ski training.
Looking ahead to winter: Here are all the details that exist so far re: the Eastern Cup schedule & Craftsbury’s team travel plans.
U14s:
Option to join Jr practice Friday: though stay tuned for details, as we need to figure that out still

BKL:
Fall sports: we hope that many of you are playing fall sports with school! That’s a good thing. Just drop us a line at some point to tell us what you’re up to.
BIATHLETES:
Great job to all who did the Singletrack Shootout! What a scene!
Events coming up this winter:
Liatoppen: If anyone is interested in applying to be part of the US contingent to the Liatoppen youth biathlon festival in Norway, you can find information here. Application deadline is the end of August.
World Jr Trials: for U17 or older, if you want to race in World Jr Trials (selection races for representing Team USA on international trips) those are in Soldier Hollow the week after Christmas. We will send a Craftsbury coach and we do have a couple families planning to go. Age categories for those races are youth and junior only. Reach out with questions
ADULTS/MASTERS:
Business as usual this week. Note the different meeting location for Sunday.
