Race Report: Stowe High School Race

Craftsbury Academy skiers Molly Stanciu and Melanie Sergiev.

"Craftsbury Nordic Juniors represented their respective high school teams well at a recent ski race put on by Stowe High School at Trapps.  In the girls varsity race, Avery Ellis of North Country Union H.S. won the race followed by Molly Stanciu (Craftsbury Academy) in 7th and Melanie Sergiev in 10th (of 37 racers). In the boys varsity race, Craftsbury club racers finished 1, 2, 4, 6, 17, and 27 (of 44 racers). Those skiers respectively:  Anders Hanson CA, Jacob Morse CA, Patrick Lawlor St. Johnsbury, Mathew Lawlor St. Johnsbury, Kestrel Owens CA, and Benjamin Gillott St. Johnsbury.  While they are not skiing with the CNSC junior program, the Craftsbury Academy JV skiers who train at the COC, finished very well with Ellen Emers 2nd and Sabrina Thompon 3rd in the girls race and Aidan Moffat 2nd and Jared Benson 6th in the boys race.  Great job high schoolers!"
