Want to roll?
Make sure your annual membership is current or get a day pass
Check the schedule (no access during team training blocks—generally 8:00am - 11:00am—except with explicit permission from the junior ski coaches)
Houseguests and Annual Members:
Your lodging and/or annual membership now include access to the rollerski loop outside of team training (8:00-11:00am daily) so no additional fee is required. Neither lodging fees nor annual memberships include any equipment. We do not offer rollerski equipment rentals.
Non-members:
While you do not need to be an annual member to use the rollerski loop, you do need to purchase a day pass in the process. The day pass includes your access to the rollerloop as well as the remainder of the trail network.
Visiting Teams:
If you’re staying onsite with us, no additional fees are necessary.
If you’re just dropping by campus, see the above for pricing.
Visiting VPA teams with their VPA coach roll for free.
In every instance above, reach out to the JR ski coaches if you want to coordinate access during team training times (8:00-11:00am most days). This is for everyone’s safety.
As with all our trails, we do our best to cover current conditions at craftsbury.com/dashboard. (Rollerskiing is listed as “Recreation Paths” on Trailhub and in the dashboard).
However: conditions can vary over the course of a day. Previewing the course on foot (in direction of travel, off the pavement on the side) is strongly encouraged for all users.
Helmets Required
Follow the traffic pattern
The direction of travel is marked on signs and the pavement and applies to all wheeled users at all times
Walkers and runners are expected to walk against traffic, just like on the road. Be ready to get out of the way at any time.
Observe posted schedules and closures
No dogs on the rollerski loop
Ski within your abilities
The Craftsbury Outdoor Center assumes no liability for injury or accident; previewing the course on foot (in direction of travel, off the pavement on the side) is encouraged for all users.
No motor vehicles: the rollerski track is for human-powered recreation only.
For those users intending to walk, run, or ride on the singletrack and other ski trails, please be aware that you must physically leash your dog if you are on any of the pavement-impacted singletrack or adjoining ski trails. These trails include:
Woodward’s Wheelie (Singletrack)
Moo Moo Farm (Singletrack)
Be aware of rollerskiers and yield to them - they do not have brakes. It’s up to you to get out of their way. Please do not walk or ride on the rollerski track during times designated for training.
Avoid team training time - generally 8:00-11:00am daily, but confirm on the schedule.
Houseguests or annual member non-rollerski use is covered by their lodging or membership fees.
Non-members must buy the day pass, same as the rest of our trails - another great reason to buy an annual membership! (And remember: Craftsbury, Albany and Greensboro residents receive a complimentary membership. Follow directions here.)
