Sculling Webinar Series #3: "Sculling From the Inside Out" - Ric Ricci
Our sculling webinar series continued into its second week with a presentation from Kevin MacDermott on “Reframing Your Outlook: Alternative Perspectives for Your Sculling Experience.” In case you missed it, or would simply like to relive it, the recording is now available!
Next week, on Wednesday July 15th, long-time Craftsbury coach and Associate Director Ric Ricci will present a talk titled “Sculling From the Inside Out.” Ric writes:
‘Core’ stabilization and strength is universally considered to be a prerequisite for optimal sports performance. The ‘core’ can also be thought of as the locus of movement, where large muscle groups are stimulated by the nervous system to act around the major joints of the body. ‘Sculling From the Inside Out’ will explore how to engage the ‘core’ in ways that are perhaps most efficient and also how that engagement on the water is in concert with the inherent action of the sculls and the geometry of a shell.
We look forward to Ric’s talk, which in classic Ric fashion is sure to be thoughtful, entertaining, and full of the outside-the-box, will-make-you-think wisdom Ric is known for. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 15th, at 4:00pm EDT. We hope you’ll join us! Please register in advance via the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
