Last Updated: 04.Dec.2015
New Fitness offering: Kickboxing for Fitness, 8 Saturdays at 4:00pm, December 12 to February 6. Pablo Coddou leads this class designed for people with little to no experience in the martial arts. The class introduces some of the basic forms and techniques of kickboxing in a high-intensity workout that combines strength training, precision, coordination, balance, and flexibility. The class focuses on learning techniques through open space practice, heavy bag, and eventually partner training with pads. An important component to this training is the practice of mindfulness through which we bring increased awareness to our bodies.
The class will benefit anyone interested in exploring a dynamic workout that is fun, powerful, invigorating, and engaging. The workout will crossover to many other athletic disciplines.
Pablo Coddou has trained in the martial arts since he was a small child. He holds a black belt in Shaolin Kungfu, which he has practiced for the last 10 years. Pablo is an avid runner, dancer, and cross-fitter. He also works as a psychotherapist in Hardwick where he utilizes embodiment and movement as a means of healing, integration, and personal development.
Cost is $10 for non-members, $5 for members (COC punch cards available) and free to guests and staff. Don't forget to check out all our other fitness offerings.
