2022 Lost Nation Roll
The 2022 NENSA Rollerski Race Series kicked off last weekend with an almost ninety-person field at the Lost Nation Roll here at the Outdoor Center. Six and ten kilometer race options provided options for a variety of abilities and NENSA hosted a learn to roll event afterward.
In the women’s 10k, GRPers Margie Freed and Kelsey Dickinson placed first and third, respectively. Former GRP U23 athlete, Lina Sutro, who now skis for the SMST2 team, squeezed in between them for second.
Ben Ogden of UVM took the men’s victory, under fifteen seconds in front of GRP U23 athletes Brian Bushey, in second, and Finn Sweet, in third. Check out the full GRP coverage.
The Craftsbury summer college skiers and juniors also showed up in force. For the women who raced 10k, Aggie Macy was 11th, Quincy Massey-Bierman 12th, Maggie McGee 16th, Camille Bolduc 18th, and Isabelle Serrano finished in 26th. Ruth Krebs won the U16 6k for women with Tillie Lange in 4th.
On the men’s side, Jack Young finished 8th in the 10k race with Aiden Casey placing 14th, Tzevi Schwartz 26th, Leo Circosta 31st, and Phil Lawson in 33rd. Max Domaine and Sis Lange finished in 8th and 9th, respectively, in the 6k.
A big thanks to NENSA and the staff and volunteers who made this weekend happen.
