The Localvore Runner Challenge

Summer running camp participants enjoy the dirt roads of the Northeast Kingdom

This year’s Craftsbury summer running challenge is out!

Each week, June 20th through September 3rd, participants will run specific routes throughout the Northeast Kingdom that relate to a local food: radishes, strawberries, squash, cucumbers, and more.

Runners will visit farms and farmstands on foot to experience local food sources in a new way. Not only that, but participants can take this challenge into their homes by incorporating each week’s food item into suggested recipes. A points system for varying participation levels will influence a raffle at the summer’s end celebration.

The first challenge, Radishes, starts on Monday, so sign up soon.
