Seven Green Racing Project skiers will be competing in US National Championships, which kick off Thursday, January 3 right at home in Craftsbury, VT. The organizers expect hundreds of juniors, college athletes, and professional skiers to contest the four races. Besides National Championship titles, there’s a lot at stake in these races. On the senior side, all four races are the final chances to score points that count towards World Championships qualification, along with the earlier SuperTours. They also count towards World Cup qualification, especially for World Cup finals, which will be held in Quebec this coming March.

The Green Racing Project skiers include Ida Sargent, Caitlin Patterson, Kaitlynn Miller, Liz Guiney, Corey Stock, Adam Martin, and Akeo Maifeld-Carucci. Sargent plans to contest only the first two races, as she will be heading back to World Cups in Europe soon. All the other skiers plan to compete in all four races. Miller and Patterson have both been National Champions in past years, and Guiney, Sargent, and Martin have been on the podium at Nationals in the past.

Race Schedule:
Thursday, January 3: 10/15k Classic Individual Start
Friday, January 4: Classic Sprint
Sunday, January 6: 20/30k Freestyle Mass Start for seniors, 5/10k Classic for juniors
Tuesday, January 8: Freestyle Sprint

Results from the races will be available on the Bullitt Timing website, schedule and more information is on the Craftsbury Nationals website and live video streaming (with a fee) will be on the US Ski and Snowboard page, so stay tuned!
