We kicked off the 2017-2018 ski season with a low-key 5.5k/7.7k freestyle race on the snowmaking loop. College and club teams who have been at the Center this Thanksgiving week got an interval-start race effort under their belts before the season truly begins, and many local and regional skiers made the trip for early season snow.

Silje Wilson (UNH) took top honors in the womens' 5.5k, followed by Craftsbury's own Callie Young in second and Tegan Thorley (Harvard) in third.

In the mens' 5.5k, Mansfield Nordic Club's Aidan Burt took the win, Craftsbury U14 Trey Jones notched a second-place finish, and teammate Bjorn Westervelt claimed third place.

Canadian Jules Bernotte (Biathlon Estrie) skied away with the mens' 7.7k win, followed by Nick Gardner in second and Jack Schrupp (Williams) in third.

Thank you to our groomers and volunteers for making this race possible!
