No on-site parking for day-skiers February 5-6; Free skiing from satellite trailheads
We're thrilled to host our biggest event since the pandemic started over the February 4-6 weekend. In hopes of managing our limited parking resources sustainably, on-site parking at Craftsbury will be by pass only for racers and event volunteers.
As acknowledgement of the inconvenience to our day-skier population, we're offering free day skiing from satellite trailheads Saturday and Sunday. Not only will skiing be free, day-skiers will not have to contend as directly with course closures and racer traffic. Park at:
Hosmer Point (Road or on camp - we're plowing the soccer field too) ~3k via shortest trails to Center
Dustan Road on the Common ~4k via shortest trail options to Center
See all the satellite parking options, and how to get from one to the next on this map.
Our satellite parking areas offer great opportunities for trail access for a wide variety of abilities and the chance to explore the trailsystem from a different vantage point as opposed to starting at the Center's campus. Come discover a new favorite loop! And if you need to get to the Center, the closest off-site lot is only 3k from campus via Big Hosmer - a perfectly flat beginner trail on the lake.
Want to park on-site next weekend, but no lodging reservation or not racing? Have you thought about volunteering? Event Volunteers are needed to put on the weekend's events and get on-site parking as part of their benefits. It's an excellent way to participate in the event without racing. We'd love to celebrate the return to racing with one and all; but rather than stretch our limited parking resources past their breaking point, we've elected to try and distribute the load. We appreciate everyone's understanding as we work to navigate our facility's limits.
