Massage Therapist
Chris first started his fitness and body awareness career in 1991 in the United States Navy by becoming a command fitness coordinator for the Joint Intelligence Center Hawaii and then Naval Station San Diego. His military Physical Readiness Training (PRT) instruction over the next 6 years was accompanied by 2 certifications through the American Colleges of Sports Medicine.
In 2003 he dually enrolled in the Massage Therapy and the Sports Certification program at the Florida School of Massage. Upon completion of school in 2004, he became nationally certified as a licensed massage therapist (LMT) with a sports certification. Then he enrolled in the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) program where he became certified as a Personal Enhancement Specialist (PES), then continued through NASM to receive a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). Additional programs and courses of study include Cervical Tension and Injury, Shoulder Evaluation and Treatment, Active Isolated Stretching: The Mattes Method and many more that are curtailed for regaining proper muscular and neuromuscular function.
His massage career started in a medical facility in which he worked for 9 healthcare providers and a chiropractor. He has been the team massage therapist and physical fitness coach of a club swim team. While some of his clients have been college and professional athletes, he looks forward to working with anyone trying to improve their functional fitness.
