Training week of 9/4

CSC team! Here’s what’s up this week:

EVERYONE:

  1. Attendance form: we’re at about 75% completion rate. If you ever all get it perfect Anna will bring ice cream to practice or something

  2. Training plan: here on craftsbury.com and also in the same place in googleland

  3. Holy wow hot week coming up: please be prepared! Bring water, extra clothes case you wind up in the lake, etc.

  4. Singletrack shootout: this is a fun biathlon race (running or biking) that’s happening at the Center on Saturday. No experience required! Info and registration is here.

  5. VTYC bike race: there’s a VT Youth Cycling League mountain bike race at the Center on Sunday. Be prepared for things to be busier than usual and for some trails to be tied up with the race course. Please no rollerskiing this day—the loop will be closed to rollerskiers as the bike race crosses it.

  6. Winter schedule for all the programs: we’re getting closer to knowing what’s happening when; will share soon.

  7. We have lots of nutrition resources from COC sports dietitian Megan Chacosky! Right here in the shared folder.

EC RACE + HS COMP:

  1. OMG college: if you’re a junior or senior and have questions on this subject, talk to your coaches. We can answer at least some of them.

  2. Senior nationals: those of you with some sincere interest on this subject have hopefully talked to coaches. If not, do it. And if you have talked to coaches and have been stewing on it, get serious about your stewing, as we’d like to make some definitive plans soon.

  3. Team huddle: gah we keep forgetting this at the end of practice. Or at least Anna does. Help us remember and be an active part of continuing to build a positive team culture!

U14:

Note that on Sunday, your practice duration will be pretty dependent on how much you plan to join in for.

BKL:

We’re down to just one day/week! We know lots of you will be busy with fall sports and that’s great. Come if you can/want to.

MASTERS:

Nothing in particular to stress for your group this week!

See you soon!
