Training week of 7/8
EVERYONE:
EVERYONE:
Attendance form: yep, you can do it!
JUNIORS:
Another big ol’ week: we are in week 2 of 3 harder weeks. The volume goes up, and we’re focusing on a chunky L3 workout on Wednesday with the GRP and college crews.
Good job racing! Well done putting yourselves out there to everyone who raced on Sunday. It’s only July, and we are trying to be fast in December. If you’re not where you want to be, don’t stress. Figure out how to get there. And then keep showing up and doing the hard stuff.
Our first overnight adventure is next week! Weds-Thurs, 7/17-7/18 - overnight campout/training double-header based out of tents and an off-grid cabin on the lake, down the road from COC. We are asking for a head count in the attendance form this week so we can prepare. Generally speaking, you get dropped off at 9am Weds (normal practice time) with overnight and camping gear, and then get picked up again early afternoon on Thurs. We usually order pizza from the Genny to keep dinner simple, bring breakfast sammy and bag lunch supplies, and bill folks for the food after the fact.
Additional summer dates for your planning—keeping these here for reference:
sometime the week of 8/5 - day trip to the White Mountains for a big ol’ hike
8/12-8/16 - Lake Placid training camp trip based out of a collection of rental houses in downtown LP.
U14s:
We are going to challenge you this week! Be ready for some hard efforts on rollerskis Thurs and a bit of a longer run on Sunday.

Back to regular Thursday practice!
