Training week of 2/26
EVERYONE:
Attendance form: you know the drill!
Training plan: still here - you gotta scroll down on that there page
We need some volunteers on Friday, 3/1, for the skate day of the high school state meet. Can you help? Sign up here.
Shoutout to our juniors: Anika Leahy, Ruth Krebs, Amelia Circosta, and Sage Grossi just qualified for Junior Nationals! The teams are being firmed up for Eastern High School Championships and New England U16 championships, but we expect to have another hefty chunk of juniors headed to those events. Go team!
End of season: we hope to keep things going into the week of 3/11. But if we run out of snow sooner than that, we’ll have to bail earlier than intended. Either way, our end-of-season potluck/party/relays of some form will be on Wednesday, March 20th.
Approaching weather: keep an eye on Slack for updates. We’re trying to hang onto snow for the high school state meet on Friday, and there’s a non-zero chance we’d shut things down for a day if needed.
Summer camps: biathlon summer camps are open for registration (check the event listings on the homepage for details. Summer ski camps, including BKL camp, have not been set yet—we’ll let you know as soon as we have dates pinned down.
Craftsbury’s “Treasure the Library” event: this annual event is both a fun activity and a fundraiser for our local library. Info here.
JUNIORS:
Note earlier practice Thurs because yay vacay
That’s a wrap on Eastern Cups. Whoa. How did that happen?! Now we’re onto state meets and regional championships for many of you. Let’s keep our focus high and crush the rest of the season! We’re so proud of you all, and we’re not just saying that.
Waxing and state meets: y’all are largely expected to get wax support from your high school teams for the state meets. That said, we will have a presence at both races (we do support CA), so if you need something or are panicking, come find us. We are always happy to share advice with any HS coaches.
U14s:
Middle School States: great work at this last week! Y’all crushed it.
The BKL Festival is coming! Hope you’re as excited as we are. More info to come to registered families soon.

INTERMEDIATE MASTERS:
Technique: y’all are skating this week.
Coach shuffle: Rick’s going to be away a lot in the coming weeks AND Kara’s gone this week, so you’re going to be getting some guest coaches. Stay tuned! It’s actually great to have some different coaches because sometimes a new perspective can help something click.

Technique: back to classic for beginner masters this week.
