Round Robin
It's nesting season here as it is all over and we've got no shortage of phoebes, robins and other winged creatures nesting in nooks and crannies all over the Center. I came out of the Duck Blind yesterday to find a robin fledgling perched on my bike tire. Her first foray into the world landed her there with a parent hovering nearby keeping watch. On walkabout I spied a robin pair carrying nesting material to a car parked north of Cedar in the big lot. Within the space of a few hours a fully formed nest was perched on the rear tire. With Delaware plates on the ride, the birds' nesting attempt is doomed as the current sculling session ends on Friday and the car will be rolling south then.
