Genny Tenny Recap

The Albany General Store finally opened this year and forty-two racers came out to celebrate. The Genny Tenny started in 2018 as a fundraiser for a new Albany General Store. Now the run continues to raise funds for the Albany Community Trust. The race course winds its way from the Craftsbury General Store to the Albany General Store over ten miles of rolling dirt roads, cornfields and even a muddy but fun section of class IV road. A gorgeous fall day greeted the runners this year with sunshine, cool temperatures and fall foliage just starting to show off. Following the race, participants enjoyed a delicious pizza party generously provided by the Albany Genny.

On the women’s side Emma Podolin paced the field with a time of 1:16:04 and the men’s winner, Evan Haugh set a blistering pace of 1:00:57.
