World Cup III Results: Davison & Graves first in B Final

Congratulations the GRP / USA Men’s 2x:  Ben Davison and John Graves who capped off their weekend of racing at World Cup III with a solid first place finish in the B Final in a time of (6:21.48). 

 In the A final, Poland took gold (6:18.86) ; Germany silver (6:19.80); and Switzerland bronze (6:20.165). New Zealand (6:20.82), France (6:21.00), and The Netherlands (6:26.59) rounded out the 4th, 5th, and 6th finishers respectively

Weekend started off strong with a third place finish in their heat and the 4th best time of the day between both heats. 

In Heat 1 POL went (6:18.96). Heat 2 was the most competitive with NZL at (6:15.38); FRA (6:17.97); and our GRP men representing the USA (6:20.770). 

Third place was enough to both bypass them from the reps and advance them to the Semifinals on Saturday, where they needed to place top three In order to advance to the A final.  

Semifinal A /B 1 had NZL (6:17.38); SUI (6:18.57); and GER ( 6:20.47) who all advanced to the A final on Sunday. NED (6:23.09) and USA (6:23.47) crossed the finish line in a close 4th and 5th place advancing them to the B final on Sunday, to be joined by 6th place CHN2 (7:00.090). In Semifinal A/B 2, A Final finishers FRA (6:17.39); POL (6:17.65); and NED (6:25.35) ousted the B final eligible doubles CHN1 (6:25.57) and FRA2 (6:34.7); and ARG (6:41.250).

A job well done on finishing 7th at WCIII, and a speedy start to their season together!
