Weather Delays Racing in Amsterdam
Last Updated: 26.Aug.2014
Tuesday's racing at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam brought a stiff headwind that would eventually force the afternoon's races to be postponed at the decision of the fairness committee. The US heavyweight quad from Craftsbury was on the dock ready to launch for their repechage when the decision was made, and instead of launching for their race had to make do with a brief practice window.
Racing will continue tomorrow with the heavyweight quad racing their repechage with two boats to advance to the semifinal at 7:39 EST. Kyle Lafferty and the men's lightweight quad will also be in action, looking to place in the top two of their repechage to make the A final on Friday. Josh Konieczny and Austin Meyer will look to place in the top three of their quarterfinal to race in the A/B semifinals on Thursday. Here's hoping for good conditions and fast racing tomorrow, go Green and go USA!
