Shoot for Spring Biathlon Clinic and Race
We are excited to announce a new biathlon opportunity at the COC — the Shoot for Spring Biathlon Clinic and Relay! This event will take place on Saturday, March 21, after the conclusion of the Spring Fling ski race. This community biathlon event, designed for biathletes of all abilities and ages, will begin with a 45 minute novice safety and practice clinic, mandatory for all newcomers to the sport. We’ll provide rifles, ammunition, and instruction.
Then we will have a relay race! You will team up with another athlete; age, gender, and experience don’t matter. Biathlon is the great equalizer! Each partner will shoot four times and ski four loops of the short (approximately one kilometer) racecourse, with the final partner skiing one additional final kilometer.
The goal of this event is to introduce more people to biathlon, as well as provide more experienced biathletes with a fun race opportunity. Read all the details.
