Sculling Webinar Series #9: "Over the Buoy" - Larry Gluckman

Australian sculler Kim Brennan deftly clears a buoy on her way to a gold medal at the Rio Olympics.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s excellent presentation from current Green Racing Project Coach Steve Whelpley on sculling semantics! The full recording is now available for viewing here.

Our presenter next week on the sculling webinar series is Larry Gluckman. Larry has been rowing and coaching since the 1960s, and has coached Craftsbury sculling campers and our resident athletes alike alike throughout his long, storied career. Larry’s webinar, titled “Over the Buoy: On Your Way to Condition-Free Technique” will cover one of his favorite topics. He writes:

“There are many ways to scull successfully. I choose to take a blade-centric approach, which relies on ‘condition-free technique’. This talk will discuss how avoid ‘flat water-itis’ and how to condition-proof your technique, so that you can row and race in any conditions.”

We look forward to Larry’s talk, and hope you’ll join us! The webinar will take place on Wednesday, August 26th at 4:00pm EDT. Please register in advance via the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
