SBTC is now GRP U23
Last Updated: 26.Apr.2018
To connect our sculling programs more clearly, we have changed the name of our U23 summer developmental program from Small Boat Training Center (or SBTC) to GRP U23.
GRP U23 is designed to provide a summer training opportunity for college-aged athletes with a focus on small boat skill development, and a particular emphasis on sculling. It is one of our core beliefs that the development of small boat skills can only improve an athlete’s long-term development and ability to excel in all boat classes. The program's goal is to help athletes improve both physiologically and technically over the course of the summer, while also aiming to place athletes on the U23 World Championship Team via trials and to race successfully at Canadian Henley, to continue to identify athletes for the professional, post-collegiate Green Racing Project, and to help further the development of sculling within the United States.
Like all of our sculling programs at Craftsbury, from the camps to the resident GRP, the GRP U23 conceptually remains a Small Boat Training Center where we work to develop an athlete by establishing a solid base in small boat skills.
Applications are still being accepted. We hope you’ll consider joining us this summer. Visit this page for full information on the program, or apply now.
