Results: Genny Tenny Point to Point Fundraiser Run
Last Updated: 14.Sep.2019
An international field of 50 runners took to the roads this morning in the second annual Genny Tenny fundraiser run. Today's cool, dry, and sunny weather made for spectacular running weather, and racers enjoyed clear views over the rolling hills and a striking Mount Mansfield beyond! With runners from the US, Mexico, and Canada, the race saw fast times despite the course's grueling climbs. Neal Graves of Stowe, VT blazed his way to the overall win in an impressive time of 59:50, not only breaking the hour barrier but also besting second place by over a minute! George Aitken of Waterbury Center, VT took the runner-up position in 1:00:44 and David Spandorfer of Somerville, MA took third in 1:06:27. The Graves family claimed both overall wins, with Sarah Graves taking the women's overall win in 1:16:22. Courtney Koschei of Melrose, MA took second in 1:17:08 followed by Tara Nelson of Glover, VT in third with a time of 1:18:34. Strong runs by all on a challenging course!
Thanks to the help of our many volunteers, enthusiastic participants and our partner, the Craftsbury General Store, we were able to raise over $1,000 for the Albany Community Trust and the Albany General Store Project. Read more about the project on our race website here. We're already looking forward to the 2020 Genny Tenny and to finishing at the newly opened Albany General Store!
