And there we have it, after six days of intense racing the Green Racing Project leaves the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta with gold medals in four events: the Senior Women's eight, four, quad and Senior Men's Lightweight pair. While historically known for tailwinds and fast conditions, this week's event had some strong head winds that made for tough racing. The group rose to the challenge though, with some athletes racing over 10 times down the 2k course in nearly every boat class offered, from the single to the eight.

Sunday's racing kicked off with Keziah Beall and Emily Driessigacker taking second in the championship pair to London Olympians Sarah Hendershot and Taylor Ritzel racing for the New York Athletic Club. Craftsbury would strike gold next in the senior women's quad, defending last year's title by four seconds.

Craftsbury was well-represented in the singles, with Amy Ludovici finishing off a full week of racing in 6th place in the women's U23 single, Maggie Fellows taking 3rd in a competitive women's champ single and Hugh Mcadam in 5th place ahead of Erik Frid in 6th in the men's champ single. Racing closed out for the weekend with the senior women's championship eight, where Craftsbury took second place behind New York Athletic Club. The GRP would also take second place in the "efficiency standings,"" a measure of how many top place finishers came from each club compared to how many rowers were racing from that club. With racing all wrapped up in Canada, all eyes turn to Europe for the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam from August 24th to 31st. The heavyweight men's quad is just returning from a training camp in Princeton with the men's eight and straight four, check out a video of their pieces from Steve's blog here. Kyle Lafferty and the men's lightweight quad have been training hard in Boston, find another training video here. These boats will join Josh Konieczny and Austin Meyer from the lightweight double in Amsterdam, good luck to all of those crews racing, go Green and go USA!
