The Craftsbury Outdoor Center is excited to present Fall Fest 2019, coming to Craftsbury this October 5th and 6th. Mark your calendars now, and join us for a weekend of delicious food, fun races, and spectacular foliage in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.

On Saturday, the 5th of October, the weekend will kick off with the Singletrack Shootout, a mountain biking or running biathlon race featuring the Center’s singletrack trails. Novices and experts, kids and adults are all welcome; novices will have ammo and rifles provided and a shooting clinic will precede the novice race.

Also on Saturday, the 5th, Craftsbury will host its first ever Fall Fest Farmer Games. The Farmer Games is a 4-person team event with four individual disciplines and one team relay.  The event as a whole playfully explores the intersection between sport and the agricultural community.  All necessary materials and equipment will be provided, and there will be no entry fee this year.

Following the Farmer Games, Saturday night will bring our autumn-themed Harvest Dinner. The annual dinner features delicious local fare from area farmers, all prepared by the Center's Vermont Fresh Network dining hall team.

On Sunday, the 6th of October, we're excited to host a summer Orienteering Race on the Center's ski trails and singletrack. A beginner's clinic will precede the mass start event, so all are welcome, even those who have never participated in orienteering before. There will be a short course and a long course version.

On Sunday afternoon the Center will host our third annual Community Open House. This year's open house will feature clinics in mountain biking, the chance to try out biathlon, opportunities for cider pressing, and free 45 minute mountain bike rentals. At 2:00 pm at the waterfront, boaters will gather for the inaugural Friends of Great Hosmer Paddling Event, which will include canoe, kayak, and SUP races and tours.

Keep checking the website for links to registration and more. We hope you can join us!
