Storylines to watch
The GRP Women are in 2nd place in the NNF Cup. Can they close the gap on the University of Utah to bring home the trophy for the most points scored in the SuperTour?
GRPer Alex Lawson is sitting in 3rd in the SuperTour overall women with teammate Margie Freed in 4th. They both have opportunities to move up in the standing with four races this week.
A new sprint course with night finals. We’re debuting our new 1.5k sprint course this week with afternoon qualifying and night heats with finals a bit after 6:00pm. And with a taco truck on campus for the evening, it’s sure to be a great atmosphere. Come celebrate skiing with us!
All the GRP Snow squad, including biathletes will be racing this week. We’re especially keen to see how our 4x5k men and women mixed relay does on Saturday.
The final race - a 44k classic mass start will be tough, there’s no doubt about it. Marathons are grueling, and thrilling, with so much movement happening on the results sheet throughout the race. An 11k race loop - which includes Ruthie’s Run - should give racers a bit of that old school classic race feel. This is where memories are made.
Food
If you’re looking for food while at the Outdoor Center we have a variety of options. The Front Seat food truck will be open outside of the touring center Wednesday through Sunday and has splendid coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. The MexiRico taco truck will be operating throughout sprint heats and night finals on Friday if you’re looking for dinner then. The Outdoor Center’s dining hall is open, reservation required, throughout the week for all meals. Call the office at +1 802-586-7767 to reserve your spot.
Parking
Parking should be available on campus for spectators except it might be tight on Saturday. Watch for updates as we get closer to the weekend but please be ready to carpool and/or park at Hosmer Point if you’re coming to watch the relays.
