This past weekend the GRP skiers and Craftsbury juniors competed in the NENSA Invitational Rollerski Race at the Trapp Family Lodge along with many other skiers from throughout New England. This classic rollerski race started in the Nebraska Valley, climbed Barrows Road, and then wound its way up Trapp Hill Road where it finished in front of the Trapp’s Outdoor Center.

In the women’s race, GRP skier Ida Sargent took home the win. She was followed by Caitlin Patterson in 5th, Kaitlynn Miller in 10th, and Elizabeth Guiney in 11th. For the junior women, Alex Lawson (now skiing for Middlebury) placed 13th overall. She was the first junior woman across the line. Alex was followed by Callie Young in 21st and Phoebe Sweet in 22nd.

In the men’s race, Adam Martin was the sole GRP representative. He had a strong race placing first. For the junior men, Griffin Wright placed 14th overall and Finn Sweet finished 28th.

Thanks to NENSA and the Trapp Family Lodge for putting on such a fun event!
