For the first time in the history of the program, the GRP will be sending current team members to the Olympic Games in rowing/sculling. We are so excited to support Grace Joyce, Emily Delleman, Daisy Mazzio-Manson, Emily Froehlich, Jacob Plihal, and Alexander Hedge as they prepare to compete in Paris. The 2024 Paris Olympic Games will run July 24th through August 11th with rowing events scheduled for July 27th-August 3rd.

Grace and Emily D. will race in the women’s quadruple sculls, Daisy in the women’s four, and Jacob in the men’s single sculls, while Emily F. and Alexander head to Paris as alternates. This also marks the first time since 2012 that the US team has qualified a men’s single scull for the Olympics.

And five additional Olympic-bound rowers have been hosted by the Outdoor Center’s U23 and Covid Sculling Semester programs in the past! We are proud to be a part of all these athletes’ careers in some way, big or small.

You can find the up-to-date Olympic roster and bios on US Rowing’s website.

Stay tuned as we highlight each of these GRP athletes in the coming weeks to learn more about them and celebrate their journey to Paris.
