GRP Biathletes Compete at World Cup Finals in Oslo

This past weekend was the final Biathlon World Cup of the season in Oslo, Norway at the famous Holmenkollen race venue. 

In the sprint, Susan Dunklee had the top U.S women's result finishing 7th with two standing misses. Clare Egan also had a strong race finishing 35th with only one miss. Both Susan and Clare earned start spots in the pursuit race. 

In the pursuit, Susan struggled with her shooting incurring 10 misses. However, she kept fighting and notched the fourth fastest ski time of the day. Clare moved finished 41st with only four misses.

Susan was the only U.S. woman to compete in the mass start. She cleaned her first two prone shooting stages and was leading the race until missing three shots in her first standing stage. After missing an additional two shots in her final shooting stage she finished 20th with a total of five misses. After a remarkable season, Susan finished the season 10th on the World Cup overall ranking list which is a career best.
