This past weekend, three GRP biathletes raced the IBU Cup in Brezno-Osrblie, Slovakia. The weekend started off with a sprint race. Emily led the way for the U.S. women with an impressive 27th place finished with only one prone miss. She was followed by Hallie Grossman who also had a strong race finishing 48th. On the men's side, Alex Howe finished 57th.

All three biathletes qualified for the following day's pursuit. Emily moved up placing 26th with three misses. Hallie got lapped, but was happy to have qualified for her first IBU Cup pursuit. In the men's race, Alex also got lapped. Emily's strong weekend of racing qualified her for the final two IBU Cup race weekends at the beginning of March.

Stay tuned for the start of World Champs in Hochfilzen, Austria on February 9th as well as the Jericho NorAm this coming weekend. Results and live coverage of the IBU Cup and World Champs can be found at biathlonworld.com.
