A snowy and deceptively cold day greeted the racers for the last day of events at Craftsbury. Overnight had brought a fluffy couple of inches to the Center, but midway through the morning it became apparent mother nature wasn't done! A snow squall started moments before the women's racing, and while it abated somewhat during the day, it continued well into the afternoon, becoming more and more graupel-like.

But that just didn't matter for Kris Freeman today. Again, the script seemed to be the same; a couple of probing attacks and then a late attack for good. Kris has had a banner week and a half at Craftsbury, sweeping this weekend's events, and 4 of 5 overall. Freeman's victory capped a great run-in to his pending starts at World Champs in Falun, Sweden starting on the 18th. Craftsbury GRP's Gordon Vermeer had a great day on his home course to snag 2nd, what is believed to be his career-best distance result on the SuperTour. Gordon edged APU's Lex Treinen in a lunge for second.

The women were led home by APU's Becca Rorabaugh who took it by about a second over yesterday's winner from SVSEF, Mary Rose. In contrast to the dominance of Freeman on the men's side, the women had a different winner for every distance race at Craftsbury. Anja Gruber capped a podium filled week at Craftsbury with another third today.

It was the second day of the BKL mini-tour at Craftsbury; a pursuit start classic race, with the first one across the line as the winner of the mini tour weekend. The BKLers may have had the worse of the changing weather continued to worsen. New England BKLers however are nothing if not game! Congrats to all the participants! You can find the complete Mini tour results here (includes Sat, Sunday, and cumulative tour standings).

And that caps it! It's been phenomenal to host the North American Nordic community the past couple of weeks; hope you've had as much fun as we have. Good luck to all the racers as your seasons continue, and hope to see everyone back in the Kingdom soon.
