Craftsbury Skiers and Coaches Head to Europe

In addition the GRP athletes who often spend parts or the entirety of the winter on the road in Europe, several other members of the Craftsbury community will be crossing the pond in January for some international racing experience.
Abigail (Abbee) Streinz, Craftsbury junior by way of northern Maine, is heading to Estonia as part of the U18 Nordic Nations trip. She is one of six U18 women representing the USA over there, based on her outstanding results at Nationals. She was one of the top ten U18 women in three of the four races. These 12 U18 athletes will race in Otepaa in late January. See more info here.
U23 summer program Evelina (Lina) Sutro is going to Lahti, Finland for World Junior and U23 Championships. These races will take place January 20-27. Lina joined the GRP this past summer for training and has taken the beginning of the season by storm! At Nationals, her top result came in the 20k freestyle mass start, where she was 5th. CNSC head Junior and BKL coach Anna Schulz will also be traveling to Lahti for the World Junior and U23 Championships as part of the service team. Anna will step away from Craftsbury for this trip in order to help produce top notch skis for the 22 junior and U23 athletes. Last year Anna was part of the New England Junior National service team and she did such a good job they wanted her to come to Europe!
