Come see us at the Head of the Charles this weekend!

Last Updated: 17.Oct.2018

Craftsbury’s sculling contingent is heading down to Boston this weekend for the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta. The Head of the Charles is the largest two-day rowing regatta in the world, with 11,000 racers and 225,000 spectators anticipated. We will have a Craftsbury tent stationed along the riverfront a bit downstream of the finish line from Friday, October 19th through Sunday, October 21st. Come stop by the tent to say hi, grab one of our famous chocolate chip cookies, and fill out a raffle card for a chance to win a free week of camp!

We look forward to catching up with everyone who stops by, enjoying the racing, and cheering on the countless Craftsbury-affiliated crews that will be competing this weekend.

Racers will take on the three-mile course one at a time, starting at approximately 15-second intervals. Bridges, turns, and crews overtaking other boats make for an exciting spectator event. If you’ll be in Boston and are planning on attending the regatta, check out Row2k’s guide.

If you won’t be able to attend in person, but would like to follow the action, you can catch the livestream all weekend.

Though it would be almost impossible to account for every Craftsbury-connected crew (from coaches, interns, campers, GRP/GRP U23 alums, and friends), here is a preview of current Craftsbury athletes and sculling staff who will be racing this weekend:
