CNSC Juniors at the Lost Nation Roll
Last weekend, NENSA hosted the Lost Nation Roll rollerski race at the Outdoor Center. It was the first stop in the NENSA Summer Rollerski Series and was a great opportunity for racers to don a bib and go hard! U16’s raced 5.6k while the Open racers covered 11.2k. Several of the top-ranked skiers got to use the NENSA’s new Swenor matched fleet, easily identifiable with their pink paint! Another fun twist in the race was a buddy start system, where two racers of each gender where paired together. Additionally, racers encountered bicycle bumps only five meters into the race.
In the U16 boy’s race, Charlie Kehler was 1st across the line, less than one quarter of a second ahead of Mansfield Nordic Club’s Taylor Carlson. Max Demaine was the 6th boy in the race. On the girls’ side, Amelia Circosta was 1st, followed by Isabel Linton in 3rd and Emily Linton in 4th.
Camille Bolduc was the lone CNSC representative in the women’s Open category, placing 17th. On the men’s side, CNSC alum Bjorn Westervelt was 7th, and current CNSC’ers Tzevi Schwartz, Leo Circosta, and Mikail Tipton were 18th, 22nd, and 23rd, respectively.
