All 2020 Sculling and Running camps Canceled

28 May 2020 Update: After weeks of discussions and brainstorms, we have decided there is no way for us to hold any on-site, residential camps safely in 2020 summer and fall. This applies to all remaining sculling and running camps. A summer without camp is heartbreaking, but a necessary step for us to take as we do our part to protect our community and our guests.

From the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been and we remain fully committed to support the State of Vermont's guidelines, which currently still include the following: "Leisure travel to Vermont - either for the day or overnight - remains prohibited unless the traveler self-quarantines for 14 days upon arrival."

In light of this and other strict disease-control measures currently in place and unlikely to change before mid-summer, we came to the conclusion that any camps we might have been able to offer, even in August or September, would have to be modified to the point that they would not be the camps for which you signed up, and therefore delaying this decision any longer would merely be prolonging our collective disappointment. We are currently at work on plans for what we might be able to offer in terms of opportunities at Craftsbury in the event that travel restrictions are eased and we can safely accommodate out-of-state guests later in the summer and fall, and we will continue to post updates on our website.

To our returnees, many of whom have been with us for years and even decades, we will miss seeing you. To those who would have been first-timers this year, we are sorry to postpone your introduction to Craftsbury and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. And to all, we look forward to welcoming you just as soon as we can. Thank you for your support and understanding.
