Bill Henchey Memorial and BKL Race
Last weekend, Craftsbury hosted the Bill Henchey Memorial, which served as this year’s Vermont Cup Finals. This weekend featured slightly longer races than usual, with all U16’s racing 7.5k, women racing 15k, and men covering 20k. The track also ventured off the homologated racecourses, sending competitors out to Ruthie’s Run. The weekend kicked off with the women’s races on Saturday, followed by the men on Sunday.
You’ll notice a slew of master’s races in this week’s results write up. Who are they? And why did they don race suits? The coaches! They raced to participate in the NENSA HallMark Challenge, and also because racing is fun!
