Henchey Memorial SuperTour Finals: Sunday day-skier guide

As exciting as the racing can be, sometimes you want a quieter experience. Photo - John Lazenby

You’ve checked out the spectator guide, but you’re more interested in finding a quieter side to put your kilometers. You’ve come to the right place!

Sunday, March 26 is the Toyota U.S. Cross Country Championships 44k classic race. The course is closed to the public during racing - 10:00am to 1:30pm - and will occupy most of the terrain and trails at Craftsbury. As such, skiing will be greatly limited. What’s a day skier to do?

1) Ski in the afternoon.

  • Until about 1:00pm @Craftsbury campus - Duck, Murphy’s, Round-a-lot and eventually Lakeside will be open and available for skiing.

  • Late morning on - Village Trail and Greensboro Trails (not connector) will be getting a groom.

  • After 1:30pm: Ski wherever, however.

2) Ski Greensboro.

Ski the quieter side of the Craftsbury Trailsystem and avoid racing entirely - though trails may not be groomed until mid- to late-morning. Park at:
