Day 3 of Henchey Memorial Carnival - FS pursuit

SVSEF’s Johnny Hagenbuch leads the way home in the pursuit over GRP’s Adam Martin and Team Birkie’s Zak Ketterson.

The final day of racing at the Henchey Memorial was thrilling to watch. Skiers raced a pursuit skate, starting in the order they finished in the classic event yesterday. In the men’s race, a lead pack formed with Johnny Hagenbuch of Sun Valley finishing just ahead of the GRP’s Adam Martin, and Zak Ketterson of Team Birkie finishing in 3rd. UVM’s Finn Sweet remained the top junior after the pursuit.

Alayna Sonnesyn of SMS T2 took the victory for the women with APU’s Rosie Frankowski in 2nd and the previous days’ winner Katharine Ogden, of SMS T2, in 3rd. Ava Thurston, Mansfield, was the top junior in 6th place. Final results can be found on Bullitt Timing with coverage coming from both FasterSkier and Skinnyski. Thank you to all you volunteered, cheered, and raced!

SMS T2’s Katharine Ogden skates to an early lead in the pursuit.
