2024 Genny Tenny Results

The frenetic start of the 5k!

Almost 100 runners started their Mother's Day with a run to raise funds for the Albany Community Trust (ACT). All profits from the event support their work on the growth and prosperity of Albany.

The 10 mile distance is the traditional event that has been contested in every edition of the event. Montpelier's Luke Murphy broke the tape in just under an hour (00:59:56), with Albany's Hallie Grossman taking the women's win in 1:12:05.

In its second year, the 5k run and walk again proved quite popular with over 70 participants between the two disciplines. Craftsbury's Silas Hunt scorched the course and the competion in 16:57. Ann Howard of Morrisville led the women home in 23:05.

Find full results for all distances and disciplines. Special mention must be made of the hearty souls who participated in the VT Double Dirt Challenge. These folks contested two races this weekend: the Adamant Half Marathon yesterday, and then chased that effort with another 10 miles today in the NEK.

We're happy to celebrate another year partnered with the Albany Community Trust. This non-profit formed in response to the general store fire in 2013. Having completed that marquee project, they continue to work to foster growth and development of Albany.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and brightened Mother's Day, perhaps most of all our wonderful volunteers! Their generous sharing of their time makes events like this possible.
