2022 Craftsbury Beer Run Results
The Craftsbury Beer Run once again challenged runners to a hilly point to point course from the Craftsbury Outdoor Center to Highland Lodge. 70 runners completed the race, which took place under perfect late summer conditions. Chris Chichester was the first runner across the line. Kasie Enman was the fastest woman to the finish.
The Beer Run is a fundraising event benefiting The Center for an Agricultural Economy. This Hardwick, VT based nonprofit envisions a future, “with thriving landscapes, healthy local food, and vital, equitable communities.”
Every participant was treated to beverages from Hill Farmstead Brewery, KIS Kombucha, or Eden Cider, along with tacos from Caja Madera food truck. Additional refreshment was provided by Front Seat Coffee.
Tracksmith, Green Village Soap, Hill Farmstead Brewery and the Center for an Agricultural Economy provided prizes for top age group and overall finishers.
Craftsbury Outdoor Center Running Director Susan Dunklee recapped the day: “The runners conquered some tough hills on a hot day and came in smiling for tacos and beer! We benefitted from an incredible team of volunteers” who “rallied to support runners around the course” and expressed that all the organizers and beneficiaries of the race are, “very grateful to all our event partners.”
“Most importantly, the event brought people together to fundraise for an impactful organization in our community, the Center for an Agricultural Economy.” Susan emphasized.
