TNR #5 Results

TNR #5 this week saw the first longer distance jaunt of the season, with racers setting out to cover an 8k loop on Ruthie’s Run. It also saw the biggest field of the Tuesday Night Racing season thus far: 60 competitors in total lined up for the mass start. The vast majority skated, while two took advantage of the race’s freestyle designation and chose to compete on classic skis.

Fast conditions and fierce competition led to the top racers crossing the finish line in just over 20 minutes: CNSC junior Finn Sweet was first at 20:03.5, with coach Ollie Burruss just behind in 20:08.3. Griffin Wright was in third, in 20:22.6

The fastest female competitor was CNSC junior Adrienne Remick, who took 19th overall in a time of 23:47.4. She was followed by teammates Maggie McGee in second (21st overall, 24:07.5) and Camille Bolduc in third (23rd overall, 24:29.3).

Full results are here, and updated series standings here.

Next week will be a classic mass start on the North 5k Race Course - get ready for Screaming Mimi, and remember to pre-register
