This free workshop is a learning opportunity for those who wish to develop and/or hone their skills as guides for visually impaired skiers. Offered in conjunction with our weekend-long Visually Impaired Athlete and Guide Nordic Ski Clinic (now full!), this workshop aims to develop our local pool of experienced guides. It will feature instruction from US Para Nordic-trained staff and Craftsbury Outdoor Center staff as well.
Workshop registrants should be extremely experienced skiers — there will be minimal (if any) ski instruction, with the focus instead being on guiding. Participants should also bring all of their own ski equipment (classic, at a minimum, and it wouldn’t hurt to throw skate gear in the car as well). Participants should be prepared to both practice guiding and also take on the role of being guided by others, which may include skiing with a blindfold.
Space is limited to 10. Registration is here.
