Training week of 6/5
Hi CSC squad! This week:
EVERYONE:
Attendance form: y’all are getting so good at this!
Training plan: always here and in the same place in the googleverse
Slack: Audrey sent out the last invite… beware and join soon if you haven’t or you will be in communication darkness forever-ever
Spring/summer program registration: is closed. Did ya miss it but actually want to join programs? Step 1 = feel a little sheepish. Step 2 = reach out to us.
Club training shirts: we’ll tell you when they’re here.
Tuesday night races: start this week! Info here.
Black River Grand Prix: is a bike race! Saturday! At the Center! Details here.
EC RACE + HS COMP:
Goal-setting: we only have a handful of you left to meet with. As such we’re abandoning the signup form but you can just reach out (via email or Slack) to set up times.
Rollerskis: jeeeez let’s get this all sorted out sooner rather than later!
Sunday 3000m run: this is a pretty bread-and-butter testing benchmark for skiers across the world. We want y’all to do it if you’re not injured.
Practice start time in the summer: today’s meetings generated the feedback that a majority would like to start practices at 9:00am in the summer instead of 8:30. We will therefore make the default practice start time (once we hit the summer schedule) 9:00am, and move it earlier as needed to accommodate things like overlapping with other groups, adjusting when it’s super hot, etc.
U14:
Rollerskis: remember that you do need to either rent rollerski gear or come up with your own. We’ll start doing a whole lot more rollerskiing very soon.

BKL:
Rollerskiing: you CRUSHED IT last week! Rollerskiing is hard and falls hurt. But it does get easier over time. Thanks for being so brave hopping on these wobbly things.
BKL camp: for those of you who are registered, more details about that coming your way this week!
MASTERS:
Extra sessions: we spied a bunch of you out riding yesterday. Woot! Rick will continue to keep you in the loop on his scheming.
Poles for bounding: if you have some, great! If you don’t, check in with the coach crew about acquiring some. We have a stash in the skate shack that we’d prefer to part with for bounding poles, rather than the ones on the racks in the clubhouse. Summer pole use wears out the tips (thanks to rocks and such) so we’d rather straight up give you some old clunkers and keep the rental poles in tip-top shape for winter.
See you soon!
