Juniors - Training week of 5/1
Hey junior squad!
Happy #nordienewyear! Is that a thing? Let’s make it a thing. At any rate, it’s May 1— time to think about structured training again. Welcome back.
Practices start up again on Tuesday, and we’re trying out a whole bunch of new stuff this spring. Things you need to know:
Attendance form! Some things don’t change; we still wanna know when you’re coming to practice. Pretty please.
Online Club Info Hub: Instead of sending you a lengthy email about training & other club updates every week, we’re going to start posting those details here, on our website.
Team communication moves to Slack: to alert you when said updates are made, we’re giving Slack a try. Google groups no more. You should have gotten an invite to join our Slack “workspace” in your email; holler at us if you didn’t. Slack is a great place to check for updates, but you can also message coaches there with questions. If you DM one coach, we will add all the coaches to the chat (because, Safesport).
New training logs! We made some new ones for ya. You should get an invite to your fancy shmancy 23-24 log (a Google Doc) soon.
Goal-setting: please fill out this form to provide us with your brief annual review of the winter + set some goals for the summer.
This year, submitting your goals form and then scheduling a review with coaches (signup coming soon, probably starting Sunday 5/7) will be required to participate in training after June 1. Not kidding.
Spring/summer program registration opens Monday, May 1 at 8:00pm.
Rollerskis! Check your email archives for details on rollerski ordering/renting. Rentals are already open for business.
