Week of 3/17 and beyond
EVERYONE:
End-of-season dress-up relays and potluck: are on Tuesday, March 18th, at 4:00pm. All who wish to participate in the goofy relays should show up ready to ski (skate, or skier choice if skier feels speedier on classic skis) and we’ll make some informal teams on the spot. We’ll have the costume boxes out! After relay-ing, we’ll eat some food, so bring a potluck dish to share. No potluck signup or anything; just show up with food/drink/etc.
Season-long rental returns: you can either return all your gear after the club potluck/relays, if you’re able to go to that, OR if you want to ski a bit longer into March you’ll be able to return your gear all the way until May 1. Season-long rental gear gets returned to the clubhouse, not the Touring Center. Just go into the clubhouse, put your gear on the racks, and check your name off the list. Reach out to coaching staff with questions.
Eastern Spring Series and NENSA Jamboree: this is here, this coming weekend! Likely there will be some changes due to the rapid snowmelt this week. Lots going on! Learn more here.
Just because practices are done doesn’t mean you have to be done! By all means, keep coming skiing. Check the conditions dashboard on craftsbury.com for updates on what is skiable
JUNIORS:
If you’re racing at STF, you should pick a race to do this weekend and otherwise keep things really chill. Take at least 2 full days off this week. No more specific instructions than that. Tis the season for aggressive tapering.
BIATHLETES:
Ongoing practices: we’ll continue doing biathlon practices for Jrs/U14s until the Liatoppen crew leaves. Looks like people like Wednesday and Fridays at 4pm. Suz will push out more info on Slack.
Race opportunity (JRs/U14s): Club Championships at home on March 22 & 23. Info here
ADULTS/MASTERS:
Comp masters: Pepa is tentatively planning to run a session for you on Wednesday morning. More to come on that, depending on conditions and her availability.
