Training week of 11/20

EVERYONE:

Where the rubber meets the snow road.

  1. Attendance form: tell us when you’re coming plz

  2. Training plan: here on the club updates (below the blog post) and also in the same place in googleland

  3. No practices on Thursday. Because turkey and family time.

  4. Rental fittings: more have been added and more will keep being added.


JUNIORS:

  1. Darkness: please bring headlamps to practice! Only relevant for Tuesday this week, but becomes super relevant again after Thanksgiving.

  2. Double pole test results: are here from last week. We have a new men’s record-holder, folks! Kudos to everyone who threw down.

  3. Bring your rollerski gear back: the groomers have already started connecting snow through the little dip! Bye bye, rollerloop. Please, please bring your summer gear back ASAP, especially your poles — we are starting to run out of some sizes for winter rentals.

  4. Equipment: ZOMG what a gear cluster last week. Please order rentals if you haven’t and you need to; then schedule a rental fitting (bottom of the club updates page).

  5. EC team travel interest: if you haven’t yet filled out our team travel interest form, please do.

  6. Extra sessions this week + team potluck Friday: sign up to bring stuff here!

U14s:

MASTERS:

  1. Optional November practices carry on! Sunday again at 2:30pm.

  2. The winter session starts officially on Thursday, Dec. 1!

BIATHLON:

  1. Thanksgiving: no practice on Thanksgiving.

  2. Sunday: U14/Juniors meet at the normal time. No BKL biathlon this week. BKL biathlon will kick off with their first practice on Sunday, Dec 3.

  3. Extra clothes: reminder to always bring a change of dry clothes to change into after skiing, poles, gloves (not mittens), and ideally a vest if you have one.

  4. Preparedness: we navigate the weird transition between fall and winter, be ready for any thing based on evolving snow conditions at the range: skiing or running.

BKL:

  1. First practice on Sunday! How is it already the end of November?! We are pumped for our first practice. To help us reduce the chaos, please do your best to get gear sorted BEFORE Sunday and sign up for a rental fitting if you need to:
