North Wolcott is now open!
Last Updated: 23.Jan.2018
Update: 31 Jan 18 - North Wolcott Rd is now open to traffic again!
Are you visiting us via Stowe/Morrisville? If you're approaching that way, chances are you're being directed to use the North Wolcott Rd to get here. The only issue is that during the flooding of January 12, that section of road was washed out. Travelers have several options (all written as coming from the southwest):
Town of Wolcott recommended/least detour:
On the North Wolcott Rd, turn LEFT on to West Hill after 0.8miles
West Hill turns right and becomes Sand Hill Rd after 2.7miles
Slight right to stay on Sand Hill Rd, which T's into North Wolcott Rd after another 0.8miles
Town Hill:
From VT-Rt 15E, continue past North Wolcott Rd, taking the second left for Town Hill Rd.
Town Hill Rd becomes West Hill Rd and intersects Rt 14. You can pick up Rt 14, or continue thru the village on up to us.
Garfield:
Need more gravel in your life? Try the Garfield Road from Morrisville up by the Green River Reservoir. This road connects you to the north end of the North Wolcott Rd, and is definitely among the most Vermont-y of these options. Which is to say it's better to look at the map.
As always, we always recommend our local maps for travel close by Craftsbury. Find them here.
