The cross country World Cup season is nearing completion, with the penultimate World Cups last weekend in Drammen and Oslo, Norway. Three GRP skiers, Ida Sargent, Kaitlynn Miller, and Caitlin Patterson, competed in at least one race between Drammen sprints and the Holmenkollen 30/50k. Meanwhile, in La Feclaz, France, GRP skiers Adam Martin and Ben Lustgarten raced a 21k classic French Cup.

Drammen/Oslo World Cup
Every year the World Cup makes a traditional stop in Drammen, Norway for city sprints as the king of Norway looks on. On Wednesday in Drammen, Ida Sargent and Kaitlynn Miller raced the classic sprint qualifier, finishing in 47th and 53rd place. On Sunday the World Cup moved to Oslo for a 30k mass start freestyle race. Caitlin Patterson had a very solid race, finishing 28th. Kaitlynn Miller finished 53rd in her first Holmenkollen. Results from the World Cup are available, as always on FIS-ski.com.

La Feclaz French Cup
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Europe the rest of the GRP skiers spent a week training in La Feclaz, France in between OPA Cup races. At the end of the week, Adam Martin and Ben Lustgarten raced in a 21k classic marathon in La Feclaz, which was also a French Cup. After skiing together for the whole race, they essentially tied, but Adam was awarded the victory and Ben took 2nd. Results from the race, the La Savoyarde Caisse d'Epargne can be found here.
